The Pantry Peace Workshop

In this new workshop series, we walk through the 5 P’s: Plan – Prepare – Preserve – Provide – Pray, building a pantry that isn’t rooted in fear or chaos, but in peace, purpose, and faithful stewardship of our homes.

Whether you’re building a long-term working pantry, trying to stop wasting food, or simply want to feel more prepared and less panicked… this workshop will guide you, gently and practically, one step at a time.

This series isn’t about fear-based prepping. It’s about faithful stewardship, security for your family, and peace of mind in every season.

This series has just started, and as the new lessons are published on the channel each week, they will be added here with resources mentioned in the videos.

Week 1: PLAN

We’re diving into:

  • What it means to plan like a steward… not a hoarder
  • How planning your pantry brings peace, not pressure
  • Creating a realistic inventory — not a shame list
  • Meal planning that supports your life and budget
  • Rotation systems that actually work for real families

Week 2: PREPARE

Proverbs 24:7 “A wise person prepares their home and heart before the storm ever comes.”

In Week 2 of the Pantry Peace Workshop, we’re diving deep into preparation — not from fear, but from faith.

This week is about learning to steward what God has already placed in our hands and finding peace in the process of preparation. You’ll learn how to do what you can with what you have — how to take what’s already in your kitchen, pantry, or freezer and build from there.

We’ll talk about leftover makeovers, stretching ingredients, and transforming small beginnings into lasting provision. This isn’t about panic-buying or stockpiling; it’s about trusting God’s timing, building wisely, and preparing in peace, not pressure.

🥫 Inside this week’s workshop:

  • The difference between fear-based prepping and faith-based preparation
  • How to create meal plans using what you already have on hand
  • Practical ways to stretch your grocery budget and reduce waste
  • Leftover makeover inspiration — turning yesterday’s meal into something new
  • Proverbs 24:7 and the spiritual mindset of preparation

💡 Emotional Anchor: “Preparation is peace, not panic.” If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by prepping or felt guilty for not having enough — this week will help you find balance, calm, and clarity. Let’s replace panic with prayer, chaos with contentment, and fear with faith.

Pantry Staple Checklist

In addition to the weekly worksheet, I have included my own checklist for stocking pantry staples. You can use this as a reference and make your own to suit the needs of your family.

Week 3: PRESERVE

Welcome to Week Three of the Pantry Peace Workshop, where we step into the heart of stewardship: learning how to preserve what God has already placed in our homes.

Today, we dive deeply into the methods, meaning, and ministry of food preservation—from canning to dehydrating, freezing, and freeze-drying—and how these skills help us build long-term peace, stability, and security for our families. In this teaching, we walk through:

  • The spiritual significance of preserving what God provides
  • Why preservation is not old-fashioned—it is biblical stewardship
  • Water bath vs. pressure canning (safety, acidity, and when to use each)
  • Dehydrating and how it extends the life of your pantry
  • Freeze-drying and long-term storage options
  • Freezer banking to build peace into your everyday routines
  • How preservation builds confidence, reduces waste, and stretches your budget
  • How your pantry becomes a testimony of God’s faithfulness
  • Why preserving food also teaches us to preserve peace, gratitude, hope, and emotional resilience

Scripture reminds us that planning, preserving, and preparing are not rooted in fear—they’re rooted in stewardship, wisdom, and obedience.

Today, we learn how to store food safely, intentionally, and prayerfully so that our families can lean on a working pantry that is always ready, no matter the season. And we will do this while canning Pear Jam and Wild Concord Grape Jam….44 jars of jam in all – Ready to head into the pantry for the winter season. What a blessing!

Whether you’ve been canning for years or you are learning for the very first time, this week will bless you, challenge you, and encourage you to build a pantry that truly reflects the goodness and provision of God.

If you are following along with the Pantry Peace Workshop, be sure to download your worksheet, complete your homework, and begin applying these preservation principles in your own kitchen this week.

Week 4: PRESERVE

Welcome to Week 4 of The Pantry Peace Workshop.

This week our word is PROVIDE.

This is the week where everything you’ve built so far begins to take shape in your home… not just in your pantry shelves, but in your spirit, your confidence, and your calling as a provider.

In this video, we talk about what it truly means to build a pantry that feeds souls, not just stomachs.

Provision isn’t just about food storage — it’s about stewarding what God has placed in your hands, caring for your home with purpose, and creating margin so you can bless others in their time of need.

In this week, focusing on Provision, we explore:

  • The heart behind PROVIDE
  • Why provision is spiritual, emotional, and practical
  • How your pantry can become a ministry in your home
  • Simple steps to stretch, steward, and make the most of what you already have
  • Finding peace instead of pressure
  • Learning how to bless others even when you feel empty
  • The connection between faith, food, and community Your pantry is more than shelves — it is a reflection of love, preparation, and faithfulness.

This week, we provide not out of fear… but out of purpose. If you’re working through this workshop, let me know how PROVIDE speaks to your heart this week.

If you have any questions, let me know and I will try my very best to answer them. I will see you next week for our last installment in this series, where we focus on PEACE God Bless and see you soon!

Week 5: PEACE

This final lesson, Pantry Peace encourages reimagining your pantry not just as a storage closet, but as a place of calm — a sanctuary of order, purpose, and provision.

The goal is to transform it into a space that supports peace, planning, and mindful preparedness rather than impulse buying, clutter, or panic-driven stocking.

We talk about:

  • Mindset over accumulation
  • Organization brings peace
  • Provision meets purpose
  • Sustainability & resourcefulness
  • Intentional lifestyle shift

What has been the BIGGEST lesson you’ve learned over these five weeks?

Was it planning with purpose… purchasing with intention… learning to preserve… discovering who you can bless… or finally finding peace instead of panic in your pantry?

Share your takeaway — your story might encourage someone else walking this journey with us. Thank you for being here. You are a blessing.

Takeaway

Going forward, and having gone through this pantry journey, remember that stewardship is an act of worship. The 5 P’s — Plan, Prepare, Preserve, Provide, Peace — aren’t just practical steps, but spiritual rhythms that invite the Father into the everyday work of caring for your home.

May your pantry become a quiet reminder of His provision, a place where peace replaces worry, and a testimony that preparation done with prayer leads to confidence, not fear.

Trust that as you do your part, God is already ahead of you, providing in ways seen and unseen.
